The University of Manchester Equity and Merit Scholarships are among the strongest opportunities currently available specifically for African students.

The university is offering 30 fully funded Master’s scholarships: 20 for full-time, on-campus programmes and 10 for part-time distance-learning programmes.

Applicants must be resident citizens of Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda or Zimbabwe. Applicants are also expected to demonstrate academic excellence, relevant professional experience and the potential to contribute to sustainable development in their home countries.

For on-campus scholars, funding covers full tuition fees, return international airfare, living expenses and visa costs. Distance-learning scholars receive full tuition coverage.
